Decision to complete this was based on timing.
(returning from road trip around the south, likely not being around friend with whom I play Magic within 2-3 years)
But mostly I finished it due to boredom and restlessness.
Initially had leaned against doing this project due to time cost, relatively low satisfaction, and to a lesser extent money. In all, took less time than I expected.

Have completed at this point. Played a few times in various iterations with my friend, only in one-on-one drafts. Likely to have future tweaks as we play more, but I think thing work relatively well.
I found this cube ultimately satisfying to make, a lot of unique interactions with cards not typically used, and also a relatively original concept.

Almost 3 years later, extremely happy I pursued this project. On surface, learned a lot about Magic game design, card interactions, and gameplay balance. Has been a continuous updating process and the cube has gone through many many iterations and in my opinion has become increasingly more lenticular.
Have played this cube with a handful of people, maybe 5, at this point with overall very good experiences.
Still continue to add/ tweak cards for mechanical and aesthetics. Have accepted that cube will continue to change in ebbs and flows as time goes on.
Would like to pursue this type flavor of project in future.
